Heart Pieces are collectible items that will reward the Kid with additional Health. Every four heart pieces collected will combine to form a single heart container, which is added to the Kid's overall health. There are
- sixteen heart pieces in total to be collected,
- and one heart container to be purchased,
resulting in nine possible heart containers holding the Kid's health (he starts off with four).
