"Aren't bombs just wonderful? You can use them to open new paths and blow up blocking objects. You should buy them at Bomb Island, if you have the chance!"
(Kirk, OH)

The Bombs are, in fact in both games, the third equipment item that Hero and the Kid can obtain on their adventure. Once equipped, bombs can be placed or thrown and will destroy various structures and harm enemies.

Bomb-Details in OH[]

Bomb Icon

Bombs are reddish, old-fashioned looking, round with a white skull painted on their surface. They can be placed carefully or thrown.

Carrying Capacity

How to obtain[]

Bombs are acquired on Bomb Island, by completing the dungeon. Afterwards, they can be found beneath bushes or are dropped by defeated enemies. The can also be purchased at Tikarel's shop.

Capabilities[]

Can be used to blow up rocks, crates and walls throughout the game. Not all structures that can be destroyed have a visual clue to be fragile.[1] Bombs will knockout NPCs momentarily.

Bomb Refills[]

Bomb Refill

Cost: 100 coins

The Kid is able to refill his bombs by either slashing bushes, slaying enemies or breaking pots. The amount of bombs collected varies and is displayed on top of the bombs item drop when collecting them.

He can also travel to the shops of Tikarel, Gillfolk's Drop or Sky Island to purchase a full Bomb Refill. The Bomb Refill will show as a + next to the amount of bombs left on the Bomb item icon. Once the Kid reaches zero in this batch, the + sign will disappear and the empty bomb slot is refilled to the maximum possible.

Bomb-Details on OH2[]

Bombs-icon-OH2

Bombs still look like their counterpart of Monster of Uncharted Seas, with an additional update: there is a gap between the upper and lower half of the bomb that reveals a yellow glowing core. They can be placed carefully or thrown. Since they were meant for mining, bombs take some time before exploding. They have a cool-down timer which can be shortened, however, by placing the appropriate Power Shards into the available slots.

How to obtain[]

The Bombs can be found in a chest inside of a small shack to the left of the entrance to Arne Village. Opening the entrance to the shack requires the Caster Gun's Fire Spell. Afterwards, bombs are available to the Hero in unlimited quantity.

Capabilities[]

Bombs will destroy fragile looking walls or crates and damage enemies. Bombs will knockout NPCs momentarily. A bomb can be set of manually as well when a direct attack is aimed at its shell.[2]
